Job Description

Adams & Martin Group is working with a highly respected law firm to identify an experienced Senior Municipal Attorney to join their growing team. This firm has a long-standing reputation for providing strategic, practical counsel to municipalities and public entities across Minnesota.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as primary or supporting counsel to municipal clients on a wide range of legal matters
Attend and advise at city council and board meetings
Draft and review ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and policies
Provide guidance on land use, zoning, and development issues
Advise on compliance with Minnesota statutes, open meeting law, and data practices
Build and maintain strong relationships with city staff, elected officials, and stakeholders

Qualifications

J.D. and active Minnesota bar admission
6+ years of experience in municipal law or related public sector practice
Strong knowledge of Minnesota municipal regulations and governance
Proven ability to manage client relationships and work independently
Excellent communication, drafting, and analytical skills
Willingness to attend occasional evening meetings
